This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to all users of the getBriefed platform — studios and talent alike.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:
Service delivery: to create and manage your account, run the matching algorithm between studios and talent, enable messaging between connected parties, and provide access to the platform features you have subscribed to.
Payments: to process subscription and pack purchases through Stripe. getBriefed does not store your full card details — all payment data is handled directly by Stripe, Inc. in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
Communications: to send you transactional emails (account verification, match notifications, invoices) and, where you have consented, product updates.
Security: to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the platform.
Legal compliance: to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including financial record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Between studios and talent: contact details (name, email) are only revealed after a mutual double opt-in — both parties must explicitly agree before any contact information is shared.
Service providers: we use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Stripe (payments), Manus (hosting and infrastructure), and email delivery providers. These providers process data strictly on our behalf and under contractual data processing agreements.
Legal obligations: we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., financial records are retained for 7 years under UAE commercial law).

getBriefed uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function and do not require consent under applicable law. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United Arab Emirates and in countries where our service providers operate. Where data is transferred from the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with GDPR requirements.
